Very busy mainstream radio and TV presenter and host.

Vernon was first spotted by a model scout from Select at the BBC’s Clothes Show Live. He began a successful modelling career but it was not long before Channel 4 picked him out for stardom when he won ‘Model of the Week’ on The Big Breakfast.

In 2000 Vernon landed a regular gig on Channel 4’s T4, his love of music shone through, as he became a presenter for BBC2’s Top of the Pops Plus. Vernon joined Radio 1 in 2006 and presented a weekly slot until he left the station in 2012.

Vernon has hosted a variety of shows for both BBC1 and ITV1. He hosted ‘Just the Two of Us’ (BBC1) working alongside his wife, Tess Daly, and took over as the host of ITV1 hit show ‘Gameshow Marathon’. He signed an exclusive contract with ITV in 2007 to host a number of shows for them over three years including ‘Beat the Star’, ‘The Whole 19 Yards’, ‘Let’s Get Gold’ and a number of the ever-popular series, ‘All Star Family Fortunes’. He has also hosted quiz show ‘Million Dollar Mind Game’ for ABC and such was his success with the network he was then asked to host ‘Skating with the Stars’, and the ice-skating spin off, ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

He is an actor, known for Shaun of the Dead (2004), Extras (2005) and Keith Lemon: The Film (2012).

Recently, Vernon hosted Channel 4’s coverage of the NFL games and alongside his now 10th series of ‘Family Fortunes’, he is the host of a brand new game show called ‘1000 Heartbearts’ for ITV1 Daytime. Vernon regularly hosts at corporate functions and events, DJ’s around the world and continues to play for his American Football team ‘The London Warriors’.
