Annie Mac, an Irish DJ and television presenter is known as the eponymous host of the electronic dance music show Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom, which airs at 7:00 pm on Friday evenings, as well as host of the 7:00 – 9:00 pm slot Monday – Thursdays formerly hosted by Zane Lowe.

Annie appeared at the Creamfields Festival 26-28 May 2023 at Hylands Park Chelmsford Essex and will appear at Finsbury Park, London. 

Annie Mac is to leave BBC Radio 1 after 17 years

The Irish DJ said on Instagram: “I need more time to see my kids in the evenings now they are both in school. I would like more time to write fiction and to create podcasts.”

She added: “I love the idea of leaving the party… when I’m still having the most fun I can have.”

She’ll host her last Future Sounds show on 30 July.
